The brand, founded by master distiller Taichi Seki, has released its four single grain and single malt whiskies to select US markets<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Japanese brand Sekk Sato Shiki has launched to the United States with a range of whiskies. The brand is founded on an ethos of making 100 per cent Japanese whiskies.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Founded by master distiller Taichi Seki,\u00a0Sekk Sato Shiki<\/a>\u00a0is made at Sato Distillery, Japan. To meet its 100 per cent Japanese goals, all grains used by the brand are sourced locally from Makino farms in Miyazaki Prefecture.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The distillery uses a Sato Still, which it says is one-of-a-kind, invented by master distiller Junji Mizue in 1989. The casks in which the whisky is aged are also Japanese, sourced from the Ariake Angyo Cooperage. Through careful sourcing, the brand is \u201cultimately creating a whisky that is 100% Japanese, seed to sip.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Sekk Sato Shiki Single Malt<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Sekk Sato Shiki currently offers four whiskies which it says are united by \u201cfruity and floral notes\u201d. The brand shared tasting notes for each of the whiskies:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  • Single Malt Whisky (40% ABV, RRP US$99.99) \u2014 with notes of roasted barley, citrus, vanilla, banana, butter.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  • Single Grain Whisky (43% ABV, RRP US$49.99) \u2014 floral notes, with roasted nuts, caramel, and honey.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  • 21 Years Old Single Malt Whisky (40% ABV, RRP US$299.99) \u2014 notes of sweet custard, dates, marzipan, and roasted grains.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  • 41 Years Old Single Malt Whisky (40% ABV, RRP US$899.99) \u2014 similar notes to the 21 Years Old, of dried fruit, roasted grains, and butter.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
